Ghana’s Northern Region presents a great array of traditions that combine beautifully with its cultural diversity. Whether they are from the Dagomba, Mamprusi, Gonja or another ethnicity, and whether they speak Dabgani, Frafra, Kassem, Hausa or any other language, they continue to enrich Ghana socially and culturally.
Food insecurity represents one of the major challenges of the country’s Northern Region but also of the other four northernmost regions.



















Despite the Government’s and other agencies’ efforts, this area is lagging from the rest of Ghana. For instance, 3 out of 10 children suffer from stunting and food diversity is very low. Food contamination and lack of information is to be blamed for the most part.
As Ghana’s economy continues to strive, the northern regions hope to benefit more from it. This series intends to portray scenes of rural villages trying to receive their fair share.
